BIRDS

We have two bird feeders in the back yard of the house here in Lake Havasu City.  They stay busy most of the day and have a variety of birds that use them.  Pigeons are the most common and Doves are next.  There are also several Quail and House Finches.  The following pictures were taken this afternoon to show the variety of birds.

First the feeders have to be filled and Pat is taking care of that.

This is one of the many Pigeons.

Two Doves on the feeder.

Here are a pair of House Finches.

Another Pigeon.

Two regal looking Pigeons at the bird bath getting a drink.

A small group of Pigeons.  We have had as many as 15 here at the same time.

And last but not least is a Gambel's Quail that is common in Arizona.  We have had as many as 8 here at the same time.  They usually come in pairs.

We also occasionally have a group of Red Wing Blackbirds visit.  They don't come every day and weren't here on picture taking day.  They come as a group, leave the same way and usually don't stay very long.  Usually there are 10 to 15 of them.
