NEW LAWN MOWER

My new Husqvarna lawn mower was delivered today.  It has a 54 inch mower deck and a Briggs and Straton engine.  It is similar to my old one that I traded in.  Has a couple other bells and whistles that will be nice.

This is the old one.

GARDEN PLANTED AND FLOWERS IN PLACE

I finished planting my garden this morning so it will be ready for the rain this afternoon.  We also got all of the flowers we place outside around the house and they are in place with their watering systems ready to go.  Here are some pictures.

This is the tomato and pepper end of the garden.  There are 6 tomato plants and 2 Bell pepper plants.  Hope they are big producers this year.

This is a shot of the whole garden.  The two rows on the left are sweet peas, the two rows down near the tomato end are Radishes and on the right side near the fence are three hills of Cucumbers.  There is a hard to see green stake at each hill.

One of our outside flowers on the back side of the house.

Another flower in the back of the house.

This one is at the bottom of the steps going into the Gazebo from the yard.

Another one by the steps.

This one sets on the steps by the front door to the house.

This one is along the sidewalk going to the front steps of the house.   There are 3 kinds of plants in pot.  They were just re-potted yesterday.

This one sets on the landing by the front door to the house.   There are also 3 kinds of plants in this pot.   They were also just re-potted yesterday.

Our Bluebirds finally showed up last evening and laid claim to their house.  So we don't have to worry about the Swallows taking over now.

FISHING

I went fishing off our dock today for the first time in almost 2 years.  Had a little luck and caught 2 nice Channel Catfish.  Cut into good size hunks, they will make excellent feed for my tomatoes this summer.  They are also good eating and I will have to catch some more for that. They were about 2 lbs. or so each.  Here are a couple pictures.

Here are the two fish.

NEW TREES

Last spring we planted two new fruit trees in the back yard and they have both made it through the past winter and are sprouted out with leaves and blooms.  One was a Cherry tree and the other a Honey Crisp Apple tree.   The Cherry tree looks like it could almost have enough cherries to make a pie if all the blooms turn into cherries.  Hope the apple tree has a couple apples as it has some blooms if you look closely.

This is the Cherry tree with the top of the Apple tree in the lower right corner.
